Mayor Richard Hayward presented a series of municipal appointments which the council confirmed by motion and vote. The council accepted LeaAnn Myers as City Administrator and Shyanne Powell as City Clerk. A naming correction occurred when the mayor initially moved to appoint Bridget Nash as City Treasurer and then corrected the name to Bridget Merchant; the council rescinded the earlier motion and confirmed Bridget Merchant as City Treasurer.
Other confirmed appointments included Brad Myers as City Superintendent; Robert Myers as City Attorney; Brian Johnson as City Judge; Cody Dickerson as Fire Chief; Michael Shields as Chief of Police; and police officers Timothy Ames, Jade Carlson and Christian Powell. Most appointment motions were moved by Councilmember Lyle Sykes and seconded by Kyle Wiford; motions carried and the minutes record no dissent.
