City Administrator LeaAnn Myers gave a multi-point administrative report. She said the municipal audit is scheduled for Feb. 20, 2025 and staff have sent requested documents to the auditor. She reported a meeting is set with Midwest Engineering regarding a sewer improvement plan and that Tyson McGreer is finalizing an electric system improvement plan with KMEA involvement.
Myers also said the city is working on an insurance renewal and coordinating a City Office remodel with Russell Construction; the phone company and Higher Calling Technologies will assist with transitional phone and IT moves. The administrator reported staffing updates (hiring of Dakota Pousher in the utility department and janitor Natae Nash) and that the Neighborhood Revitalization Program submission for 2025 had been sent to the Attorney General for approval.
