Altamont advances neighborhood revitalization, sidewalk RFQ and utility maintenance projects

The City Administrator said the city is finalizing interlocal agreements with Labette County and Labette Community College for the 2025 Neighborhood Revitalization Program and is working with KDOT on a Request for Qualifications for pre-construction engineering and project management for a sidewalk project funded by a Transportation Alternative grant.
Utility Superintendent Brad Myers provided routine operations updates: replacing a park building door handle, replacing a gas dial at 309 1st, meeting Tri-Star for lagoon bids, taking sewer samples to Meridian at Mound Valley, replacing a control solenoid valve at the south lift station, and coordinating with Brightspeed as they begin fiber work across town. The minutes also note removal of a fence in front of a burned building on Huston and placement of a library exchange box at the lake.
