The City Administrator told the council staff completed year-end transfers and entered the 2025 budget into municipal software, and that biweekly payroll and fourth-quarter payroll reports had been filed. The minutes state staff conducted interviews for the City Clerk position and made an offer to Shyanne Powell, whose first day was listed as Dec. 30.
Facilities items included roof repair work at the City Office, where one contractor’s bid would repair flashing but not replace tin and sheeting boards; staff requested an additional quote. The administrator also reported a demolition bid from B3 Construction for the old fire department: $12,500 to demolish the structure and $9,500 to remove concrete. The administrator noted work on interlocal agreements for the 2025 Neighborhood Revitalization Program and coordination with KDOT on an RFQ for pre-construction engineering for a sidewalk project under a Transportation Alternative grant.
