Altamont schedules audit, advances sidewalk grant RFQ and interviews utility candidates

City Administrator LeaAnn Myers reported completion of year-end filings, scheduled a municipal audit for Feb. 20, 2025, issued an RFQ for Transportation Alternative grant engineering work, and said utility interviews were scheduled.
City Administrator LeaAnn Myers told council that year-end processing is complete, including mailing and filing W-2s, W-3s and 1099s with state and federal authorities. She said a municipal audit is scheduled for Feb. 20, 2025.
Myers also said the Transportation Alternative (TA) Grant Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for pre-construction engineering and project management on a sidewalk project was sent to several firms with assistance from Southeast Kansas Regional Planning; a work session is scheduled for March 6 to review engineering RFQs. She reported interviews are scheduled for a utility department opening and that Neighborhood Revitalization Program interlocal agreements were forwarded to the Attorney General for approval.
