Board authorizes utility easement at Duncanville High School for Encore Electric

The board authorized the superintendent to sign a utility easement with Encore Electric Delivery Company LLC granting access to approximately 7,080 square feet (0.163 acres) on Duncanville High School property to allow Encore to access, inspect, maintain and operate electrical facilities installed for the campus addition.
Presenter Marti Zamora explained the easement is required because electrical facilities for the new facility are located on district property and the easement gives Encore the legal rights needed to service those facilities. Zamora said the easement "does not affect campus instruction or daily operations." Trustees moved, seconded and the motion passed to authorize execution of the agreement as presented.
