Probation office reports 236 people on electronic monitoring; fees and treatment referrals noted

Jame Amatucci of the Westmoreland County Adult Probation Office presented the office's monthly report, detailing electronic monitoring caseloads and fee collections for the year-to-date. Amatucci reported, "Offenders on Electronic Monitoring- 236" and said 209 were pending placement on electronic monitoring. The office listed 40 active pre-trial cases on electronic monitoring and 157 active pre-trial cases not on electronic monitoring.
Amatucci also provided fiscal and case-processing figures: year-to-date Intermediate Punishment Program fees of $304,006.33 and pre-trial program fees of $4,643.04. Staff completed 48 parole applications and 28 nominal-bond investigations, and reported that of 259 drug and alcohol evaluations completed year-to-date, 124 resulted in release into treatment. Board members did not take separate action on the report; it was entered into the record.
