The commission authorized the county to hire Cochran to conduct a boundary survey around the transfer station/landfill after staff found three conflicting boundary lines in assessor records.
Commissioner (speaker 4) explained the survey is needed to clarify the legal boundary for future park planning and that once the county authorizes Cochran to perform the work the landfill will reimburse the county. "We have to get appropriate for Cochrane to get a direct boundary line on the transfer station," staff said.
The commission approved the motion to proceed and instructed staff to use the county's on‑call survey provider; staff will coordinate reimbursement with landfill officials.
