Council approves appointments and minutes; student representative sworn in

The council approved three consent agenda items by voice vote: submission of a ballot to appoint Matthew Gardai (Town of Poland) to the MMA legislative policy committee (legislative district 20), appointments to the parking and traffic safety committee as nominated by the appointments committee, and appointment of Owen Robinson as student representative to the council for a term ending June 30, 2028. The clerk administered the oath of office to Owen Robinson following the votes.
The council also voted to approve minutes of the July 6, 2026 regular council meeting after no corrections were offered. The consents were adopted by show-of-hands and the minutes motion carried without objection.
