San Juan County commissioners on July 21 approved FA103-26, authorizing payment not to exceed $4,115.47 for the Forest Park limestone patching project with funding from the Parks and Village Fund. That item was presented as a consent motion and carried on a voice vote.
During committee reports, commissioners also discussed parks planning for Evergreen Park, including a proposed new 20‑by‑24 building and a road expansion with water and sewer relocation; the board indicated the matter will proceed to bidding and further design. In transit, Sound Lake Transportation reported it is ordering up to four replacement buses (final numbers and manufacturer depend on state funding), citing improved fuel efficiency and passenger accessibility as reasons for the purchase. "It's gonna be 20 by 24," a commissioner said when describing the planned parks building.
