Judge Ross addressed the board and attendees, reflecting on his career and thanking family and staff. “I've had a legal profession that's, been 46 years now,” he said, and he described the past 17.5 years on the bench as “an honor and privilege.” Board members praised Ross’s courtroom leadership, including how he handled a high‑tension recall hearing that helped keep the public calm.
Leslie conducted the roll call and the board adopted the resolution by roll-call vote. The resolution notes Ross’s long service and expressed best wishes for his retirement. The board’s action was ceremonial; no additional county policy or financial action was tied to the resolution.
