Hochatown treasurer reports sharp rise in lodging tax, net operating income up year-over-year

Treasurer Chad Sawyers presented the town's financials for November, reporting a lodging-tax deposit of $262,028 and total general-fund receipts of $549,458.77. "We did receive from the Choctaw Nation 27,100," Sawyers said, and he told trustees that Stripe collected $231,661.89 in online payments.
Sawyers detailed other revenue lines: sales tax of $254,794.85 and use tax of $3,729.98 (down about 33% from the same period last year). He said total expenses were $119,117.71, leaving net operating income of $430,341.06, "up about 44% from this time last year." The board moved to accept the treasurer's report; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with Chad Sargent noted absent.
