Hochatown seeking multiple grants to fund water, paving and wastewater projects

Adam said the Keto REAP application requires demonstrating local business activity and job retention/creation to score well. "It's an economic development grant, so you have to sustain, you have to provide proof for a total number of jobs that it's going to keep, jobs that it could help create," he said. He also noted the town previously approved a $165,000 task order with Gartner for 10% plans for wastewater permitting and that the OWRB award could reduce permitting cost exposure.
On the CIRB application, Adam said project timing is uncertain and could be awarded within a year or placed on a multi-year backlog; engineers are preparing cost estimates so the town has a local backup plan if grant timelines slip.
