Select Board sets early-voting schedule and moves polling site for primary

The Select Board authorized the call of the state primary and changed the early in-person voting location to Town Hall for the Aug. 22–28 early-voting period; the town clerk outlined ballot-mail processing, postcard notices and adjusted office hours.
Town Clerk Susan Kelly presented the procedural warrant to call the state primary on Sept. 1 and outlined a plan for early in-person voting from Aug. 22–28 with weekend hours required by statute. Kelly said about 800 vote-by-mail applications had been processed and warned that unenrolled voters who did not select a party on their postcards would not automatically receive a ballot; she described several options for correcting that, including applying via the Secretary of State portal or contacting the clerk's office.
The board voted to relocate in-person early voting (for the primary only) from the Timothy J. Steele Athletic Building to the Town Hall clerk's office for the posted dates and times and approved the clerk's adjustments to office hours to accommodate processing. The motion carried unanimously.
