Board appoints two new supervisors, administers oaths for Districts 19 and 20

Randy Schmidt introduced himself as a dairy farmer and former Buena Vista town chairman. Dwayne McElvain described his background as an IT manager and recent move into the county, saying he wanted to get more involved locally. The county clerk administered the oath of office for both appointees.
The chair explained the appointments were made under state statute governing supervisor vacancies and that the appointees would assume committee responsibilities assigned later in the meeting.
