"Right now our current roster has 55 employees," Cheryl said, and she described ongoing work to finalize the IMC/Central Square data merge, noting the Barnstead portion was scheduled to merge the next day and a final department merge was slated for the first week of August. She told the panel the project was delayed from an expected end‑of‑July completion to early August due to limited vendor availability.
Cheryl also reviewed recent grant activity: a requested congressional direct‑spending grant for fencing was denied because the project did not meet the grant’s criteria, though she said Senator Shaheen’s office had offered to help find other funding opportunities. She said the small body‑worn camera grant remained pending, with announcements historically made in July or August.
The update included finished facility improvements—a new bailiff supervisor office and a climate‑controlled locker room with evidence storage—and a note that the department is using a public monthly activity report for social media to increase transparency.
The commission did not take formal action on the items during the update; staff said they will return with further details as grants and vendor schedules resolve.
