Argon Park trail proposal advances as commissions recommend environmental study and funding

"They are proposing a comprehensive maintenance plan for both the developed recreation and the undeveloped woodland area of Argon Park," a board representative said.
Historic Preservation Commission members said they strongly support the trail as a way to highlight historical features and to revitalize the park. Commissioners and the manager discussed funding options — municipal open-space trust, Green Acres matching funds, and county contributions — but noted the initial budget proposal was likely too low and recommended conducting an environmental study and refining cost estimates before seeking formal approvals or grant applications.
