The residents said they want attorneys to confer before the board makes substantive comments because differing legal opinions may exist about the lot's status.
The residents said they had been told at the previous meeting to expect a prompt answer and described frustration at a month-long delay. Village staff confirmed the lease and related files are posted on the village website under Boards and Committees, and staff said it would circulate any forthcoming attorney checklist or memorandum to trustees and the public.
