County approves library staff travel to IMLS-sponsored training in Reno

A commissioner reported that the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) had invited a library employee to a training in Reno, Nevada, and would cover travel, lodging and meals in addition to offering a stipend to the sending library to offset costs. The board confirmed it had approved the nomination and noted the rapid turnaround for booking travel.
"They're paying for all the travel, all the food, all the lodging, and even offering the sending library a stipend to cover any additional cost that we might incur while she's away," a committee member said. Commissioners expressed enthusiasm and asked staff to coordinate travel logistics and notify the county clerk’s office of the approved training attendance.
