At their July 21 meeting the Morrison County Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend that the Morrison County Board consider the following items at its July 28 meeting:
1) Interim Use Permit — Swift Current Energy MET tower (159.65-acre site): Recommendation to approve with a condition that the permit terminate four years from issuance. Motion by Brent; second by Clint; unanimous vote.
2) Interim Use Permit — Swift Current Energy MET tower (40-acre Morrill Township site): Recommendation to approve with a condition that the permit terminate four years from issuance. Motion and unanimous recommendation; no substantive public testimony.
3) Conditional Use Permit — Tier-3 swine feedlot (720 animal units) for applicant Shane Sengle: Recommendation to approve with two conditions: a 50-foot grass buffer around the barn and confirmation that the applicant secures township driveway/access approval. Motion made and seconded; unanimous recommendation.
Each recommendation will be considered by the Morrison County Board at its regular meeting on July 28, 2026. Staff will include the record of Soil & Water review for the feedlot application, the applicants' materials, and the commission's recommended conditions in the packet for the County Board.
