The St. John Park and Recreation Board approved a not-to-exceed $5,000 authorization for construction-phase services on the Gates Park restroom project at the July 21 meeting. Consultant Glenn Peterson, participating by phone, said construction-phase services were not included in the original design contract and the authorization covers his time through final punch list and related tasks.
Peterson clarified that the $5,000 figure is a total not-to-exceed amount and that billing will follow hourly rates on file with the town, which he cited as ranging from $85 to $275 per hour. Board members voted 4–0 to approve the authorization with Vice President Eric Velisa absent.
