Captain Sarah Smith (administrative division) explained the award is expected to be $71,933, roughly $10,000 more than originally budgeted for FY27; staff requested the board approve a budget amendment to increase the grant funding line. "This year's grant funding is expected to be $71,933, which is about 10,000 more than we originally expected in our FY27 budget," the presenter said. Commissioners approved the amendment and authorized the commissioner president and sheriff to execute the related documents.
