ILPC to nominate projects for local preservation award and consider tribute for longtime volunteer

Under administrative matters staff proposed that the Landmarks Preservation Commission compile nominations of projects completed in the last two years to submit to the annual Rotary Preservation Award, and offered to draft a nomination for members to review. "I think it would be great for the commission to recognize that hard work," staff said, asking commissioners to suggest candidate projects.
Commissioners also discussed preparing a resolution or letter of appreciation to recognize a longtime volunteer (Steve) for his many hours of contribution to the city’s historic-preservation efforts. Several members volunteered to draft the recognition and suggested forming a small group (three members) to prepare the language for a future meeting. The commission closed administrative business and moved to adjourn.
