Hope Hill flags water-plant repairs, DEQ requirements and backwash work in budget review

Council also discussed construction needs for a new backwash pump and motor and the difficulty of dredging very thick backwash ponds. Staff mentioned exploring Homeland Security grants to fund a perimeter fence for the treatment plant and said some Jackson Tower work was deferred for now. Council asked staff for firm cost estimates and grant-follow-up before any capital commitment.
