Council approved a supplemental agreement with Precision Planning to expand the North Cherokee water project scope to include improvements along Social Circle Fair Play Road and Rotherford Drive. Eric said the amendment would add an 8-inch water main along Social Circle Fair Play Road (from State Road 11 to Grady Lemons Road) and an 8-inch on Rother Drive to connect proposed 12-inch to existing 10-inch and 6-inch mains, enabling abandonment of an existing galvanized water main.
Staff described the change as a scope expansion that probably should have been included originally and recommended approving the supplemental agreement (transcript shows the figure as $25,80 as recorded). Council moved, seconded and approved the supplemental agreement.
The change is intended to improve system reliability and fire protection in the affected corridor.
