The Rochelle Park Board of Education voted to submit a preliminary $18,611,138 budget for the 2026–2027 school year to the Executive County Superintendent, the board recorded at its April 28 meeting.
Business Administrator Michele Rainere told the board the tentative budget includes $15,275,847 to be raised by local tax levy for the General Fund and listed fund-level expenditures: Current Expense (Fund 11) $17,765,190; Charter School transfer (Fund 10) $99,954; Capital Outlay (Fund 12) $128,603; Special Projects (Fund 20) $167,203; Debt Service (Fund 40) $450,188. An additional $297,124 will be raised locally to pay previously voter-approved debt service. Rainere said both the audio and PowerPoint versions of the presentation are available on the district website.
Board member Christina Holz praised the clarity of the presentation, saying it was "one of the most easy to understand presentations she has seen," and thanked administration and the finance committee for their work. The motion to advertise and submit the tentative budget passed on a recorded roll-call vote.
