Hillary (staff) presented Resolution 8B, a recommended amendment to the existing professional services agreement with Michigan Recreational Construction (MRC), to increase the annual fiscal limit available under the contract from $350,000 to $750,000. "This amendment just raises the ceiling up to $750,000 per fiscal year," Hillary said, noting the change provides flexibility to do more or larger playground projects and formalizes an option to extend the existing five-year contract for an additional two years.
Commissioners asked whether the increase was contingent on the proposed bond; Hillary said it was not contingent on bond approval and can be used with any available funding source (millage proceeds, grants, partnerships or future bond funds). The commission moved, seconded and approved the amendment to the MRC professional services agreement.
