Rengers said ongoing talks with the EPA and consultant Kleinfelder are intended to clarify lagoons and wastewater needs and whether existing influent and effluent data can be used rather than installing new flow meters.
Rengers told the council EPA has approved plans for a water-line and sanitary extension; the next step is advertising the project for bids and completing right-of-way acquisitions. Council members asked about downstream capacity and how pool-renovation options might increase demand on the pump station. No formal action was taken on the pump station at the meeting; staff said they will return with engineering findings and cost estimates when available.
