East Haddam joins state Municipal Development Authority to pursue downtown redevelopment

A redevelopment‑agency member said the body “makes perfect sense” and described the CMDA as a strong resource for potential funding. After public comment and questions, the board approved the resolution and authorized the first selectman to execute a memorandum of agreement as appropriate. The board recorded the vote as unanimous.
Joining the CMDA is intended to position East Haddam to apply for funding and technical assistance for the Eastside Village master plan and other downtown redevelopment efforts.
