Applicants introduced themselves before the vote: Sarah Grama, a local consignment‑shop owner, said she wanted “to continue, bringing [the town's village] name back into East Haddam as a whole,” and Juliet Del Rio cited municipal branding experience and a background in digital marketing. Kim Root described long‑standing volunteer work at the local food bank and business‑management experience.
The board also reappointed two current EDC members, Michael Roberdeau and William McHenry, to terms expiring 06/30/2031 and accepted the resignation of longtime EDC chair Bob Kasner. The appointments will be reflected on the commission roster and the EDC meets again next week to begin work on local economic initiatives.
