CDVA outlines grant tools counties can use for emergency veteran assistance

CDVA staff encouraged Lake County to contact their grants manager for application assistance and offered to help locate available money across the state for urgent individual cases.
County staff asked whether the grant is paid directly to individual veterans or arrives as a county block; presenters replied the latter, and added that counties can set rules (for example, per‑veteran caps) for how funds are distributed. CDVA offered to share the state’s application platform and templates to simplify RHA and county applications.
