Renovation, contractors and capacity detailed for St. Mary's County Early Learning Center

Ray Bivens, director of the Department of Recreation and Parks, credited the DPWT project manager and named contractors and consultants who completed the renovation work, including Centennial Contract Enterprises, AJ Engineers and WM Flynn Architecture and Interior Design. Bivens thanked staff and planners and said the facility had been measured and inspected multiple times by the state's division of early childhood licensing and is ready to open to families.
Bivens described on-site features and noted that two age-appropriate playgrounds were installed. "The building will be able to serve roughly a 100 youth, and the learning center is good for families," he said. He also asked attendees to help spread messaging that the center is open to county employees with priority and to the public if space is available.
