Council approves ODOT change order for Centrix Cloud traffic-signal system, adds up to $2,829.96

Council adopted Resolutions 2026-55 and 2026-56 on July 21 to authorize participation in ODOT contracts for Mayfield Road rehabilitation and to approve Change Order #1 to install the Centrix Cloud traffic-signal system in lieu of an arterial system.
The mayor was authorized to enter into a change order contract with ODOT for an additional amount not to exceed $2,829.96 to use the Centrix Cloud system. Councilmember Miner and others questioned whether the change altered system performance; staff and other members explained the change primarily affects data location and hosting rather than operational performance. "So there's no real difference in performance. It's just location of data... We're paying for data space," a council member said during the discussion.
The council approved the change order and authorized the mayor to execute the necessary ODOT contract changes.
