EMA Director Terry presented a staffing recommendation and equipment request to the Greene County commissioners. Terry told the board he wanted to hire Trisha Drogich for the administrative assistant position and requested the commissioners consider raising that position to deputy director to reflect her experience. "The person that I would like for the council to approve us to go ahead with the hire has experience in emergency operations and also has a degree in criminal justice," Terry said.
Terry also requested authorization to spend $5,000 to purchase a portable radio that supports 800 and VHF to ensure field communications; he said budget room was available for the purchase. A commissioner moved to accept Terry's recommendation and to approve the radio purchase; the motions were seconded and carried by voice vote.
