The council introduced Ordinance 26-24 to amend municipal code parking regulations and increase the number of handicapped spaces at the municipal building parking lot from four to eight. The proposal followed what members called substantial feedback from seniors and the community seeking improved accessible parking.
Council moved and seconded the introduction and recorded a unanimous roll call in favor of introduction; the clerk announced the public hearing date of Aug. 3, 2026. Officials said the change is intended to accommodate increased demand and better access to municipal services.
