City clerk read Resolution 2026-22 amending the 2026 general fund and street fund budgets for senior services. Nicole, senior services staff, explained the department is "currently 2 vehicles down" and sought to replace a 2017 Ford Fusion with nearly 100,000 miles that has become unreliable for volunteer drivers. She also said postage costs rose as membership grew toward 2,000 active members and the department mails a printed newsletter six times a year.
Council member Grenwall asked whether bulk-rate postage was being used; Nicole said she works with finance on meter/postage and that the department underestimated postage needs. After brief discussion, the council moved, seconded and adopted Resolution 2026-22 by voice vote, allowing the senior services adjustments.
