The applicant (stated in the record as "FY and odori") said tree lines and an offset site required a V-shaped sign to reach both east- and westbound traffic: "we weren't able to put the sign close to sh Parkway because of the the lines on the you know through the trees there so we're having to put the sign quite offset and the the goal was to get visibility for the east and west traffic," the applicant said. Commissioners debated whether to place a time limit on the approval; one commissioner moved that the recommendation include a one-year time limit, and the commission approved that recommendation. The application will now go to City Council for final action.
