Council establishes no-parking zone on Meadow Lane to address hazardous corner parking

Doylestown Borough Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-8 on June 22 to create a no-parking zone on the west side of Meadow Lane, extending 40 feet south from its intersection with Clemens Road. The measure, recommended by the Public Safety Committee and advertised previously, is intended to remedy repeated parking near the corner that impedes safe turning.
Council Member Dennis Livrone asked for a refresher on the problem; Mr. Browne and Borough Manager John H. Davis explained that cars parked on both sides near the corner and across the street created hazardous conditions for right turns. The motion to adopt (Browne–O’Hanlon) passed unanimously with no public objection recorded.
