Board hears update: 17 current openings include leave replacements, administrators say

"People were not let go," the presenter said, clarifying vacancies came primarily from leaves or roles not being refilled rather than staff reductions.
Board members asked whether key teaching hires would be in place by September. The administration reported offers had been made for three positions and that two offers were being issued the same day, with another going out later in the week. Officials cautioned that acceptance was not guaranteed and that positions would be re-posted if offers were declined.
No formal votes were taken; personnel actions and appointments were listed on the next meeting's consent or personnel agenda for board consideration.
