The Gregory City Council heard an update on June 2 that Phase I of the sanitary sewer project has been completed on Felton Street from 5th to 7th and crews will be moving north to continue work. Public Works Superintendent Guhner Kepler told the council extra gravel was placed in a poor-soil area to strengthen the asphalt base and that water-main crossings will be capped during sewer installation to protect construction crews.
The project timeline and further work locations were not specified at the meeting; Kepler emphasized that water usage on the block where Northern Plains is working should be kept to a minimum during working hours for safety. Council did not take formal action on the item during the meeting.
