Council members approved publishing a request for bids on Feb. 26, 2025, for the airport T‑hangar project. The bid notice will include three options: (1) hangar with insulation and heating; (2) hangar with insulation, no heating; and (3) heating only. The motion to publish bids was made by Cory Graber and seconded by Alex Hamilton and carried during the Feb. 18 meeting.
Public Works Superintendent Guhner Kepler presented a quote to convert the current hangar door cable system to a strap system to reduce recurring cable wear. The estimated conversion cost is about $28,000; the council noted a remaining Airport COVID grant balance of $22,000 would fund most of the conversion. Alex Hamilton moved to approve the conversion, seconded by Laura Petersen; the motion carried.
