Board reviews personnel schedule: resignations, substitutes and contract adjustments

Superintendent Watkins reviewed a comprehensive personnel schedule that included resignations (noted in coaching and other positions), retirements and a large pool of substitutes the district plans to employ during the summer.
Watkins said the agenda lists numerous hires for substitutes, bus operators, maintenance and service positions and referenced ‘‘133 names’’ of new substitutes included in the personnel listing. He also described contract adjustments and effective date corrections, citing an example involving Catherine Ellis and summer coordination responsibilities.
Watkins framed many items as corrections or routine approvals needed to close out the school year and said the district will continue posting jobs through the summer as transfers and staffing needs evolve. Board members expressed general approval and no substantive changes were requested during the meeting.
