The Mexico Beach City Council voted to adopt a tentative appropriation for the 2025-26 fiscal year totaling $13,826,168. The action was taken via Resolution 25-06, read aloud and then approved by roll call.
During public review, a resident asked staff to repeat the $13,826,168 figure. Tammy (city staff) and Mike (staff) explained that the sum reflects the general fund appropriation plus other fund revenues. Staff referenced general-fund revenue figures during the exchange when explaining how combined fund totals reach the stated appropriation.
Councilmembers then moved and seconded the motion to adopt Resolution 25-06; roll-call votes recorded Mr. Cox, Mr. Fagi, Mr. Adams, Miss Hamilton and Mayor Wolf as voting "yes." The resolution takes effect immediately and advances budget-related ordinances to subsequent readings.
