Superintendent Watkins presented a package of approval items the board had previously reviewed. He described an external contract to provide sign-language services during summer school that will be paid from special education funds and administrative support for Miss Klein from July 1 through Dec. 31.
Watkins detailed partnerships and MOUs: an agreement with Concord University to place teacher candidates for clinical experiences; an MOU with the Office of Child Nutrition covering free and reduced-price meal administration; and vendor awards for food and milk supplies. He also noted a student access center coverage contract for $22,000 drawn from last year’s selection.
On financials, Watkins reported invoice and transfer lines and summarized a total figure for the period: “for a total of $2,430,513.98,” listing sub-lines including CTE expenses ($14,559.84), food service ($6,022.95) and ISA ($28,485.66). He said invoices are available for review through the district office.
Board members did not request substantive amendments during the meeting; the items were presented as previously approved or routine updates. The superintendent said some summer programs will be supported by Title I and county funds as previously authorized.
