Stevie Day, representing the nonprofit House of David, asked the Kewaskum Village Board to recognize and attend a free jazz concert in West Bend on Sept. 11 to mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. "We have a nonprofit organization, and we're sponsoring a free jazz concert in West Bend on 09/11 in commemoration of 9 11," Day said, inviting board members to appear and possibly give a short speech.
Day described the concert as running from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with two bands performing and no admission fee. The board thanked Day for the invitation; the mayor or chair acknowledged the 25th anniversary and the village’s memorial activities but did not commit board resources during the meeting.
