The Union County Board of Commissioners voted to approve rezoning petition 2026-C005 (McAteer) at its July 20 meeting.
Senior Planner Bjorn Hansen described the application as a conditional rezoning for an industrial site-preparation business on Rocky River Road, with equipment/material storage, a headquarters office and associated parking. Hansen said the land-use board and county staff recommended approval and that there were no speakers at the earlier public hearing on the matter.
Commissioner Balkam moved to adopt the ordinance revising the official zoning map and to adopt the consistency and reasonableness statement; the motion carried by voice vote. The applicant and staff were available to answer follow-up questions after the vote.
