Perimeter Park West staff told the board they solicited bids from seven local accounting firms for bookkeeping services ahead of the contract expiration in February 2026; three bids were returned, with monthly prices reported in the $385–$550 range. Staff recommended Haraden Associates as the low bidder and asked the board to allow staff to enter negotiations.
"Haraden Associates came back with the lowest bid," Connie, who presented the contracting item, said. The board discussed tradeoffs between continuing with mailed checks and moving to electronic vendor payments; board members asked staff to analyze net savings after factoring in setup and recurring fees. Staff reiterated that the audit had recommended an outside bookkeeping source to improve separation of duties because Perimeter Park West is a separate legal corporation with CERS and KRS as shareholders.
The chair sought a motion to proceed with the low bidder; the motion was made, seconded, and approved by voice vote. Staff was also directed to prepare a proposed amendment to the board's bank operations policy to permit electronic transfers; the amended policy will be brought back at the February meeting for formal adoption.
