Mayor Alan Fiers reported that five Short-Term Vacation Rental applications have been submitted and that one application was denied. Letters asking owners to register were sent March 1, and he said after April 1 the town will issue Notice of Violation letters to noncompliant properties.
Vice Mayor Tracy Larcher suggested staff provide a monthly update that would identify properties requiring registration, the number of properties that complied, and the number cited. The commission did not take a separate vote on enforcement thresholds at the meeting but asked staff to track compliance and report back.
