Town Attorney Keith Davis summarized the Infrastructure Surtax Interlocal Agreement and the Oversight Committee’s role on March 24. He reported that of $623,218 accumulated surtax proceeds, $615,599 was spent on road paving during the past year; there were no expenditures in the prior two fiscal years.
Commissioner Kathleen McGahran moved to approve the Oversight Committee Annual Reports for FY 2021/22–FY 2023/24, Commissioner Roby DeReuil seconded, and the motion carried 5-0. Attorney Davis noted the interlocal agreement is sunsetting next year and that the P&Z Board functions as the Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee.
