Youth and corporate volunteers pack 6,068 meals for Middle Georgia Community Food Bank

"It is so important for us to have volunteers," said Kathy McCullen, president and CEO of the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, noting the organization has "only 22 employees" but serves 24 counties. McCullen said the bank depends on partner agencies and volunteers to move and distribute food across the region.
The event included youth participants and corporate volunteers who helped pack and prepare food for partner agencies that distribute assistance locally. Organizers encouraged additional volunteers to contact the food bank to help sustain distribution across its service area.
